In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
