As he approaches his sixth anniversary in charge, Mikel Arteta has admitted that his continued role with the club is fundamentally dependent to achieving success.
Reflecting on: The Arteta Era
Arteta took over on the 20th of December in 2019 and soon guided the team to an FA Cup victory not long after. Yet, that first major trophy stands as his only top-tier trophy after taking over from Unai Emery.
“Absolutely,” Arteta responded upon being asked about his future past 2027. “But it’s about today. And numerous factors need to fall into place in the coming months as well to warrant that continuation.”
Saturday night brings the six-year milestone with a fixture against Everton, the identical team Arsenal met just after his hiring was confirmed.
Present Challenges

Arteta concluded, “This is a standard that the Premier League has not witnessed in the past. And our aim is to achieve even higher goals. And if we do that, I think we are on the correct trajectory to winning.”
