It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their hitters to hold a record if not afforded the chance.

Finally, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy being given a chance to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 championship-filled years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her bow and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India momentarily interrupted the run of success.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

Whether this latest epic knock topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the case for the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it was a challenging time because I feel like I lacked timing completely," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your competitive nature activate and you completely engage with the competition."

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from there the right-hander was in motion.

"A chance to play and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was out her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.
