The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Mr. 2. This character possesses the power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action series, differing from the initial comic and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside multiple fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, including head the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Although Bon Clay is a major member of Baroque Works, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is due to premiere for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
